Ghanaian Dancehall star Stonebwoy has taken aim at fellow artist Shatta Wale, labeling him as boastful and insincere in his actions. The two musicians, known for their long-standing rivalry, have a history of taking shots at each other, often turning playful jabs into heated exchanges.
Their contentious relationship reached a boiling point during the 2019 Ghana Music Awards, resulting in a clash that led to the cancellation of the event and a subsequent ban on both artists, which was lifted in 2021. Despite this, their feud continues to flare up from time to time.
Stonebwoy’s latest remarks were sparked by reports that Shatta Wale gave GH¢ 5,000.00 to MC Portfolio, a member of Stonebwoy’s camp. Speaking during an interview on Angel FM, Stonebwoy dismissed the gesture as a calculated move to deceive and intimidate.
“It’s not an issue if ‘big mouth’ is giving you money. He’s just trying to put on a show,” Stonebwoy said, suggesting that Shatta Wale’s actions were more about appearances than genuine generosity. He added, “Do you know the cars I drive or the blessings God has given me? I don’t need to boast.”
As of now, Shatta Wale has not responded to Stonebwoy’s comments.
