Apple is reportedly planning to launch MacBook Air models with M4 chips in early 2025, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This would follow the recent M3 update from earlier in the year, with the M4 versions expected to arrive between January and March 2025.

Both the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs are set to receive the M4 update while retaining a similar design to the M2 models.

Since these M4 MacBook Airs are projected for a spring release, they won’t be part of Apple’s rumored announcements next week. Instead, the company is expected to introduce new MacBook Pros, Mac Minis, and iMacs.

For those waiting on a new Mac Studio, Gurman suggests that an M4 version will likely arrive after a software release scheduled for March, possibly launching between March and June. Apple is also developing an M4 Mac Pro, though Gurman didn’t specify a release window for it.

Additionally, Gurman reports that Apple aims to introduce several other products in the spring, including a new iPhone SE, updated iPad Airs, upgraded iPad keyboards, and new entry-level iPads. The company recently launched a seventh-generation iPad Mini and plans to unveil the first phase of its Apple Intelligence features next week.
